Rashid S. Kaukab
Senior Specialist, Trade and Sustainable Development
Rashid S. Kaukab is a Senior Specialist, Trade and Sustainable Development with IISD’s Economic Law and Policy program.
Rashid is an experienced trade and development policy advisor with more than 25 years of experience working on issues including World Trade Organization negotiations, regional and national trade policies, and environment and climate change.
Prior to joining IISD, he was Executive Director at CUTS International. Rashid also held positions with the South Centre and the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development after serving with Pakistan’s mission to the World Trade Organization.
He holds a master’s degree in business administration from Yale University and a master’s in economics from Karachi University, Pakistan.
Rashid is based in Geneva and speaks English, Urdu, Punjabi, and Sindhi.
